So, what is Human Design?
The Human Design system was brought into light by Ra Uru Hu in 1992. The system is a body of knowledge that forms a synthesis of various systems: the Chinese I-Ching, the yogic chakra system, astrology, and the Jewish Kabbala. Human Design provides lays the foundations for understanding the mechanics prevailing throughout the universe, mechanics that reflects in us humans, as a part of this incredible universe. Practically, Human Design it provides us with the knowledge of our mechanics, namely, the way in which the energy of our particular vehicle flows and operates through us, through the unique fragment that is called me or you. Each person has their own mechanics (even when born seconds apart), and through knowing our own design and aligning with it, our unique, singular nature can shine out into the world, and bless it with our inherent gifts.
Understanding our mechanics is what we do in an HD reading. A reading brings you into grips with your mechanics, namely understanding your unique life force, and the correct way for you to navigate your life and make decisions. An HD reading can also provide you with a good understanding of the pitfalls that condition you, causing you to lose track of your true self. Understanding our mechanics allows our minds to give in, in a way, and make room for the natural and inherent intelligence of the body to come forth and guide us. This, in my experience, provides a deep relief from our endless attempts to push against the current, meeting resistance, and feeling frustrated, bitter, disappointed, or angry. The biggest trophy, as I see it, is to regain our ability to love and accept ourselves just as we are, and this is pure and wholesome magic.
In the reading we also talk about life’s purpose and the role you came here to play. This role is revealed through alignment with ourselves, rather than acted out deliberately.​
A little bit more about human design and the body graph...
Our main tool for understanding our mechanics is the bodygraph. The body graph is composed 9 centers, 64 gates, and 36 channels. Each of the 9 centers (the geometrical shapes you see in the chart) has its own role (e.g. an engine, an awareness center, etc.) and each center includes a set of gates. The centers are connected via channels, in which the energy flows, with each channel having two (or more) gates at its ends.
The body graph is determined the location of the planets at the time of our birth and 3 month prior to our birth. This binary phenomenon brings a beautiful interplay between what we call the personality, which is everything that we identify with in ourselves, and the design, which is the unconscious part of our mechanics, often those parts of us we are unaware of but are reflected back to us through the outside world.

Our unique bodygraph determines the correct way for us to navigate our lives: should we wait for something to respond to, or should we wait for an invitation? Should we initiate things out of some internal force? How do we use our inner authority to respond or act in a way that is aligned with our nature? How do we maintain healthy boundaries and stay true to ourselves? The amazing knowledge of human design has simple and practical tools that can guide us through our confusions and inability to take decisions that are correct and healthy for us.
The Four Types
Our unique map has 26 active gates out of 36 optional gates, and each gate has 6 possible lines, 6 colors, 6 tomes, and 5 bases. What this means is that through the prism of Human Design, each of us is a truly unique and singular individual. Nevertheless, humanity can be divided into 4 types. This division into "types" can feel intimidating to some, but the important thing to grasp here is that is only a tool for understanding what's the correct way to handle our energy. Each type differs from the other three by its unique Aura. The first type of Aura in the Generator, which includes all those having the life energy center operating consistently. This center can be paralleled to the second chakra, and consists our sexual and creative energy, an energy that can be used to work, create, reproduce and take care of our children, to build real structures in real life. generators constitutes 70% of humanity, and really lay down the foundations to our world. The generator aura has this magical magnetic quality to it, drawing life towards it so that it can respond to them with its unique life force. Next, we have the projector aura, which is focused and absorbing. The projector's aura absorbs what's in front of it, having the ability to see into the life force and direction of the other, and to guide the other like a light house, to use its energy in a healthy and efficient way.
The third type is the Manifestor (9% of humanity). The manifestor energy moves from the universe itself, initiating new movements in the world, with strong impact on those that come in contact with them. Manifestors have a closed and repelling aura, designed just for the purpose of being moved through the universe without being affected by its environment. Last but not least, we have the reflector aura constituting ~1% of humanity. Reflectors are is here to reflect what's around them, the same way the moon reflects the light of the sun. They are here to sample their environment, and bring the wisdom of how well and healthy societiies and large systems are.
